Terms of Service

By downloading or using gramscale you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. The service

gramscale estimates the weight and dimensions of physical objects using a combination of on-device sensors (camera, ARKit, and LiDAR where available) and third-party vision-model APIs. Every estimate is shown as a range, not a single exact figure, and reflects the real uncertainty of estimating from a photo or sensor reading.

Not a certified measurement. gramscale is an estimation aid. It is not a certified or legal-for-trade scale or measuring device, and must not be relied on for commercial trade, shipping cost disputes, medical, safety-critical, or legal purposes. Always verify important measurements with certified equipment.

2. Free tier and subscriptions

Free tier. 3 scans per day, resetting at local midnight, with no card required.

Pro subscription. Weekly, monthly, and annual plans are available in the app; exact pricing is shown at the point of purchase and in the App Store listing. Pro unlocks unlimited scans, batch weighing, and cross-device history sync.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.

3. Acceptable use

You may not rely on gramscale's estimates for commercial trade, shipping or postage disputes, medical dosing, or any safety-critical decision. You are solely responsible for how you use estimates provided by the app.

4. Disclaimer of warranties

gramscale is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that estimates are accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, gramscale shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including reliance on an estimate.

6. Changes

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
